History and foundation

The Asteasu Sarasola cider maker, situated in the area known as Zabalgaina, began its activity in 1970 under Aniceto Sarasola, the present owner?s father. Although the beginnings of the cider maker were local, where the neighbours came together to drink cider, in time it opened its doors to the general public. 75% of the apples used for production are native, more specifically from their own and neighbouring plantations. Current production amounts to around 120,000 litres of cider per year.
