History and foundation
Founded in 1969 by its current owner, Juan Mendizábal, this cider maker has undergone a technological evolution. Although they still produce the cider very traditionally, the machinery and installations have undergone many changes. The Mendizábal cider maker on the whole uses the crops from its own apple orchards. It currently produces nearly 70,000 litres of cider a year, which can be tasted directly from the kupela all year round in its restaurant.
