History and foundation
The main activity of the Itsastegi cider maker has historically been stockbreeding, although it produced cider for its own consumption. It is in 1983 that it decided to establish cider as its main activity. After big alterations and extensions, we now find a cider maker with very modern installations. The apple used for production is its own and from the area of Tolosaldea, as this cider maker attempts to buy all local apples. However, and given the shortage of local apples depending on the crop, they import apples from Galicia and France.
