Gaztaņaga

Gaztaņaga cider house

History and foundation

The Gaztaņaga cider maker, open to the public in 1990, has produced cider for its own consumption since its beginnings. However, they started to conceive this activity as a job from the 1990s onwards, with a big investment in high technology. It nowadays has extremely modern installations where cleanliness and hygiene are a top priority. 30-40% of the apples used for production are their own and from local producers, and the rest of the production is covered with apples from Galicia and France. The Gaztaņaga cider maker currently produces around 200,000 litres of cider per year.
