Astiazaran

History and foundation

Although the Astiazaran cider maker has been producing cider since the XIX century, it becomes their main activity from the 1970s. Situated in the Zubieta neighbourhood of San Sebastian, it is an outdoor bar all year, but in the cider season, it becomes a cider bar where its cider can be tasted directly from the kupelas (barrels). It produces around 180,000 litres a year.

Specialities: à la carte menu all year round, apart from the typical txotx (cider) menu.
