History and foundation
The Urkiola cider maker, which is over 100 years old, extended and restored its installations due to the growing demand for cider. In this way, what was situated in the farmhouse?s ground floor ended up being installed in the old warehouse, where they took the opportunity to install the most modern technology. Due to its low apple production, they supplement with apples from neighbouring farmhouses and apples from other areas: Galicia, Asturias, and when there is not enough, Brittany and Normandy. The cider maker currently produces around 100,000 litres of cider per year.
