History and foundation
The Gurutzeta cider maker has been producing cider since the end of the xix century, first for family consumption and as a job from 1979, when the machinery and installations of the cider maker were modernised. However, it is from 1989 onwards that the current owner professionalised the activity that had been of a family nature until that time. The cider maker currently produces around 400,000 litres of cider per year.
